DANIDA
As explained on their website, Danida, Danish International Development Aid, is the term
used for Denmarkâs development cooperation, which is an area of activity under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark. It has an over-arching
objective to pursue poverty reduction in developing countries. They aim to support sustainable economic growth, development of the social sectors
(such as health and education) and popular participation in the development process. IGA is, or has been, involved in a number of projects
supported by DANIDA:
- Is a member of the consortium, with Coffey International Development that manages the Business Advocacy Fund in Kenya (2011-2015)
- Is a member of the consortium, with Coffey International Development that manages the Fundo para Ambiente de Negocios in Mozambique (2010-2014)
- Managed the first ever conference of sub-Saharan Africa business advocacy funds in September 2012
- Prepared a monitoring & evaluation framework for the SME Competitiveness Facility in Tanzania
- Have undertaken a number of assignments for BEST-AC in Tanzania, including the first mid-term review, preparing with, Annabel Jackson Associates, their monitoring & evaluation framework, undertaking the end of programme review for phase I, designing phase II, capacity nuilding of their academic partner etc
